About Us
What began as a small circle of sincere learners has now grown into a beautiful community of sisters seeking knowledge together.
Founded in May 2024 by three sisters, Hafsa Akkas, Luvna Rahman & Rehana Pervez, this learning group was inspired by a dream that started long before us — the dream of our beloved mother, Syeda Rabeya Hamid. Her vision was to create a madrasa for women in Bangladesh; a place where sisters could learn Islam, grow spiritually, and feel connected to their faith. Although circumstances and lack of manpower meant that dream could not fully come to life in her time of youth, Allah planted its seeds deeply in our hearts.
Our Journey
With humble beginnings, we started teaching a few older women who simply wanted to learn. One class became several. A handful of students became 10, then 30, then 100 — and by the permission of Allah, our community continues to grow with over 150+ students today.
What makes this journey even more special is the sincerity behind it. Every teacher in our team serves voluntarily for the sake of Allah. Today, we are blessed with a team of 25 dedicated teachers, led by Hafsa and Luvna, all striving to make Islamic knowledge accessible, welcoming, and meaningful for women of all ages and backgrounds.
We are also honoured to have Mufti Habib Nooh teaching Tafsir and answering Islamic questions, helping guide our students with wisdom and authentic knowledge.
Behind the scenes, more than 25 volunteers continue to support this mission with their time, effort, and care — proving that when hearts unite for the sake of Allah, even the smallest beginnings can flourish into something far greater than imagined.
This is more than just a learning group. It is a community, a sisterhood, and a continuation of a dream built on sincerity, service, and love for seeking knowledge.
May Allah accept this effort, make it beneficial for generations to come, and allow it to remain a source of sadaqah jariyah for everyone involved. Ameen.
